I have a consolidated experience in patent practice, acquired throughout 20 years in which, as a partner, I contributed to the growth of an IP firm in Milan and to its reputation as a highly professional team.
Just before my arrival at Barzanò & Zanardo in 2019, I also spent a short time domiciled at a recently-formed, small IP firm; while early on in my career I had worked for five years under close supervision, which provided me with a solid knowledge also in the trademark field.
As to the technological field, some Clients of mine are directly connected with my degree in Electronical Engineering – “Microelectronics, optoelectronics and instrumentation”; however I’ve always dealt with mechanical cases as well. Moreover, I also have experience in software and telecommunications patents, as well as in designs.
Besides Italian and European companies and individuals, I carefully assist overseas Clients, being considered by them as a valid alternative even to my foreign competitors who can act as mother-tongue with the European Patent Office.
I believe it is important to be personally involved in all patent procedural steps, from drafting to examination, to opposition and appeal procedures before the EPO and litigation in Italy, thus offering Clients all my skills and great availability.
I’m qualified to represent Clients in patent, design and trademark matters before the Italian Patent and Trademark Office, the EPO and the EUIPO. I’m also qualified as European Patent Litigator before the UPC. I’m a member of the Institute of Professional Representatives before the EPO (epi), of FICPI and AIPPI.
Admitted to represent parties before the Unified Patent Court.
