My educational background, training and professional experience, both in a pharmaceutical company and at a consulting firm such as Barzanò & Zanardo, allow me to understand, from a scientific as well as a legal perspective, the needs of the client and provide patent protection strategies based on those needs.
Together with a team that is competent, qualified and skilled in problem-solving, my main activities concern the preparation and prosecution of Italian, European and PCT (international) patent applications in the fields of chemistry (organic and inorganic chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry) and biotechnology; the preparation and prosecution of corresponding foreign applications; the preparation and prosecution of European oppositions and related appeals, as well as defenses in opposition proceedings; assistance in litigation before Italian and foreign courts (partisan or court-appointed expert); legal and technical opinions on patents (out-of-court); research and patent opinions (preliminary or post-filing).
I am a licensed attorney at the European Patent Office, a licensed attorney in industrial property at the Italian Patent and Trademark Office, a licensed design attorney at EUIPO, and have completed training for qualification as a European Patent Litigator.
Admitted to represent parties before the Unified Patent Court.
